Program Manager (PM): Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Public Health, Biomedical Research, Life Sciences, or related field plus four (4) years of project management, financial management, and/or research-related experience
Research Program Manager (RPM):Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Public Health, Biomedical Research, Life Sciences, or related field plus six (6) years of experience
Research Program Director (RPD): Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Public Health, Biomedical Research, Life Sciences, or related field plus eight (8) years of experience
Obtain UAMS Certified Research Specialist certification within two (2) years of employment
Strong writing, communication, and project management skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage complex, multi-partner projects
General understanding of cancer biology, immunotherapy, or translational research (via lab, regulatory, or grant coordination experience)
Working knowledge of IRB processes and regulatory requirements for preclinical/translational research
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Biomedical Research, Public Health, or related field
Drive strategic planning and execution of translational activities for novel T cell-based immunotherapies
Serve as liaison among faculty, BioVentures, clinical collaborators, and external partners to support preclinical development and licensing
Identify and pursue industry collaborations and sponsored research agreements
Coordinate large-scale, multi-investigator grant applications, integrating timelines, budgets, and narratives
Assist with manuscript preparation, figure formatting, and submission to high-impact journals
Contribute to IP strategy and regulatory pathway mapping, including pre-IND planning
Perform other duties as assigned

The Program Manager/Research Program Manager/Research Program Director will play a central role in advancing translational development of novel cancer immunotherapies. This position supports high-impact research by bridging academic discoveries with regulatory, commercial, and clinical development pathways. Working closely with Dr. Brian Koss, UAMS BioVentures, clinical collaborators, and external partners, the successful candidate will help move discoveries from the lab toward investigational new drug (IND)-enabling studies and clinical collaborations.
