      STARTING SALARY: $87,700 - $122,500 Salary is commensurate with experience.

      JOB SUMMARY PURPOSE

      Under general supervision the Data Governance Program Manager will be responsible for the design and execution of the Governance Program focused on enhancing EPE’s Information and Data Governance capabilities. They will have a strong technical and business background, have strong expertise in Governance and Management best practices and have a track record of implementing and driving programs to realize their intended benefits.

      The Data Governance Program Manager is responsible for prioritizing, developing, and delivering solutions, managing relationships with key stakeholders and vendors, strategic planning, financial management, development and leadership of the team, and innovation. The role will work closely with IT and Business teams and leadership across functions to define strategies, align project priorities and coordinate execution. Ideally, they will be adept at anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, anticipating and making tradeoffs, and balancing customer and business needs versus technical constraints.

      The ideal candidate will have:

      Manager-Data Governance will have experience that includes a strong operational background and a proven track record of accomplishments in change management and innovation with large, complex, organizations. Strong understanding of data quality management, compliance and regulatory requirements. Expertise in implementing and managing data governance technologies and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

      EDUCATION

      Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

      Data Governance Certified Professional certification or willingness to obtain certification.

      EXPERIENCE
      5 or more years of experience

      MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

      1. 3-5 years of experience in a data governance or a similar role with a strong operational background and proven track record of accomplishments in change management and innovation within large organizations
      2. 3+ years of experience in project, program management, leading critical and cross-functional initiatives, involving data-related capability platforms.
      3. 3+ years of utility industry experience, with deep understanding of utility operations and current business issues and trends.
      4. Strong subject matter expertise and experience in Data Management & Integration tools (e.g. Collibra, Alation, Ataccama, Informatica) and processes (metadata management, data analysis, data quality, data integration, data governance, analytics)
      5. Moderate experience with Data Visualization Tools like Tableau, Qlikview, R, Microsoft Power BI, SAS
      6. Experience in the Software Delivery Life Cycle.
      7. Effective oral and written communication with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences across Business and Technical teams, and the confidence to present to senior leaders.
      8. Self-starter capable of working independently, with exceptional problem solving & critical thinking skills, and great attention to detail.
      9. Proven ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity and rapid change.
      10. Ability to push conventional thinking to drive change and innovation.

      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

      1. Work with Leadership team to drive the governance vision and implement the roadmap for information and data governance frameworks and solutions
      2. Lead the development and implementation of the Governance framework including policies, standards, procedures and metrics
      3. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data standards and operationalize Governance processes within EPE
      4. Orchestrate data lineage mapping and impact analysis using advanced visualization techniques to enhance data traceability and support strategic decision-making
      5. Develop business case(s) for the key Governance program/initiatives outlining the scope, benefits, resourcing and budget
      6. Work along with the technical teams to identify, validate and onboard the right set of solutions and platforms to deliver the Governance capability for EPE
      7. Identify and develop vendor RFI/RFPs for Governance solutions and platforms based on needs and coordinate the vendor procurement activities
      8. Support the development of the change management strategy and work with the team to execute the change management plan (communication, training, demos) for impacted stakeholders
      9. Oversee structure, processes, and procedures to accomplish objectives, which include metrics of success and associated deliverables. Alignment entails understanding a top-down vision, with goals and objectives from the business strategy flowing through to successful completion of projects for program objectives.
      10. Coordinate and facilitate Governance Board(s) sessions, scheduling, preparing and distributing agenda, materials and minutes, and ensuring technology is in place, and briefing ad-hoc participants of the sessions when invited
      11. Identify key integrations and dependencies (technical and non-technical) across and within different initiatives and engage with necessary stakeholders to mitigate any associated risks
      12. Design and oversee data stewardship programs, mentoring data stewards in emerging best practices and fostering a data-driven culture throughout the organization.
      13. Work with functional stakeholders to define and document process flows, policies, roles and responsibilities, data creation/flow/change management, and related business rules
      14. Develop and deliver Governance awareness materials, supporting Data Literacy across EPE
      15. Complies with all applicable Company policies, procedures and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations.
      16. Performs other related tasks that are not included but are within the context of the duties defined.
