- Conduct new client intakes, provide case navigation services, and establish timeframes to complete reinstatement requirements
- Be present in the Courtroom to complete intakes and speak with clients up to five times a week.
- Document client progress, set deadlines, and file Court reports on DUR Navigator cases
- Collaborate with DMV, Child Support Enforcement, Colorado Courts, and other entities to assist defendants to fulfill their driver’s license reinstatement requirements
- Research court cases to determine outstanding judgements utilizing different criminal justice databases
- Interact with over 20 clients per day that are in various stages of their case while managing a caseload of approximately 150 clients
- Customer service experience in a high-volume environment – interacting with customers from diverse backgrounds dealing with stressful situations.
- Prior case management experience

- Proficiency within the full Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual preferred
- Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
- Experience Requirement: One (1) year of experience supporting a program and/or helping individuals navigate complex systems
- Education and Experience Equivalency: A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements

The mission of Denver County Court is to administer justice fairly, efficiently, and effectively; provide excellent customer service, and foster a positive environment where employees enjoy their work. The City and County of Denver’s third branch of government is comprised of 19 judges, 3 full-time magistrates, and 300 staff members. Case types include state, civil, small claims, traffic, criminal, and other general sessions cases within the City and County of Denver. The Denver County Court proudly serves the community and continually seeks ways to incorporate procedural fairness and evidence-based practices.
Location
The Program Navigator position is located in the Minoru Yasui Building located at 303 W. Colfax Ave. The Program Navigator office is located on the 6th floor and offices are in a cubicle format. The Program Navigator team are also present in the Courtroom up to 5 afternoons a week. This would require the incumbent to walk back and forth from the office to the Courthouse located at the Lindsey-Flanigan Courthouse at 520 W. Colfax Ave. Denver, CO, 80204. The Navigator team supervises approximately 500 cases. The team is currently comprised of three Program Navigators and one Supervisor.
The Division
The Driving Under Restraint (DUR) Navigator Unit: The DUR Navigator team was established as a pilot project effective June 3, 2019 to help clients navigate the difficult task of balancing the DMV and Court system. Since the inception of the program, the team has experienced tremendous success. So far, the team has dismissed over 1,700 DUR cases, is currently supervising over 500 cases and have assisted clients satisfy over $300,000 in reinstatement requirements by navigating and assisting clients to obtain their driver’s license. This program has already demonstrated extraordinary growth and achievement in its short implementation!
Denver County Court DUR (Driving Under Restraint) Program will work with defendants who are referred and have pending DUR and Driving After Revocation Prohibited (DARP) charges to determine driver license eligibility reinstatement date and requirements. The DUR Navigators will assist these defendants working through system challenges and coordinating with other stakeholders to complete the reinstatement requirements.
