- Obtain tasking through Task Instructions with NAVSEA.
- Coordinate efficient and effective communication between all internal and external stakeholders from the cost estimate phase through Alteration completion.
- Track and project the development and financial status of all tasking under their cognizance.
- Oversee the production of all design and ILS products to support the change.
- Drive tasking to be completed within budget and to meet the NMP-MOM schedule requirements.
- Ensure effective transfer of completed products to downstream stakeholders for material procurement and installation teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to drive assigned projects to completion.
- Strong organizational/technical skills to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities in a team-oriented environment.
- The ability to manage engineering tasks/projects within defined cost and schedule baselines.
- The ability to lead a matrix assigned project team, foster consensus, and determine priorities based on needs.
- The ability to adapt to obstacles in a task, then develop and implement solutions to still achieve the goal.
- The ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external customers, all working toward the common goal of improving the fleet.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2+ years experience in project management or related roles
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Engineering Preferred)
- Experience working on and/or managing technical/engineering projects.
- Experience in managing client relationships and handling client issues.
- Working knowledge or experience in Earned Value Management.
- Knowledge of project planning tools.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel including data scrubbing, data analysis, pivot tables, graphing, formulas, macros, and managing large amounts of data.
- Ability to compile, format, and analyze large amounts of data using various software applications
- Familiarity with the fundamentals of planning and project management
- Ability to work in a multi-discipline team environment
- Willingness to assist with issues using independent judgment, ingenuity, creativity and sound decision-making
- Organizational skills with keen attention to detail and quality
- Ability to manage multiple projects with rapidly changing priorities under minimum supervision
- Critical thinking skills and a proactive problem solving approach
- Good communication (Written and Oral) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management as well as external stakeholders
- Motivated, ambitious, curious & open-minded self-starter who takes pride in their work and is willing to learn
