- Experience with benchmarking of programs in other cities/states.
- Experience with energy and emergent technologies.
- Experience implementing new initiatives in the company’s business operations.
- Ability to multitask, while maintaining deadlines and to work in accordance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Ability to follow Supply Chain Management procedures to execute Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work (SOW), initiate Purchase Orders and pay invoices.
- Negotiation skills to influence and persuade others.
- Proficiency and experience in the use of standard Company software applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with officers, managers, fellow employees, general public and community partners.
- Ability to maintain a strong sense of propriety concerning confidential matters.
- Implement TE strategies, projects and programs that support expansion of TE and company’s short- and long-term strategic goals.
- Coordinate and administer approved TE programs.
- Review and process rebate applications from customers to fully subscribe each program.
- Work with our PR department and marketing agencies on a customer outreach strategy to promote TE programs.
- Review marketing materials, website changes, and pay invoices.
- Respond to customers’ requests for information (calls, emails, community meetings)
- Assist with reviewing customer enrollments in managed charging program.
- Secure new business leads for EV charging installations on commercial properties.
- Coordinate site visits with local contractors.
- Onboard contractors with EPE, execute Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, initiate Purchase Orders and pay invoices.
- Manage fleet advisory services.
- Conduct community presentations, coordinate events, and implement other initiatives under customer outreach plans.
- Lead implementation of an electric car sharing program.
- Lead the development of vehicle to grid (V2G) pilot program.
- Develop an ongoing partnership with low-income organizations.
- Develop partnerships with dealerships and bicycle shops to offer point of sale incentives.
- Keep up with EV news by subscribing to industry newsletters and social media channels.
- Be able to do events after business hours or on the weekends, sometimes.
- Maintain accurate records of issued rebates.
- Prepare and maintain programs budget.
- Assist with preparation of New Mexico TE filings, reports and regulatory/legislative process.
- Establish and support relationships that facilitate research and development collaborations with local universities and other public and private entities.
- Maintain valid driver’s license and follow the Company’s Driving Program policy.
- Ensure the enforcement of and compliance with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and code of ethics as well as all applicable governmental laws and regulations to include employment, safety and environmental standards and regulations.

STARTING SALARY: $59,800 - $92,000 Salary is commensurate with experience.JOB FAMILY SUMMARY PURPOSE:
Under the general oversight of the Manager of Electrification, this position supports the implementation of the Company’s Transportation Electrification (TE) Plan programs in EPE’s New Mexico service territory. The current TE plan consists of four main categories: rebate programs, turnkey EV charging solutions, special rate plans and customer outreach program. Program Specialist will review and approve customers’ rebate applications, generate new business leads for EV charging station placements and develop partnerships with stakeholders such as property owners, fleets, dealerships, universities and community organizations. This role requires creativity and event management skills to coordinate customer EV education and outreach initiatives, including but not limited to organizing EV ride and drive events, community presentations, and other stakeholder engagement. Program Specialist will be working closely with EPE’s TE, Public Relations, Key Accounts, Government Affairs teams, supply chain and other internal teams, to ensure EPE’s TE programs drive customer participation. This position requires keeping track of processed rebates, maintaining program budget, coordinating work with local contractors, managing Purchase Orders, Statements of Work, paying invoices and preparing program performance reports for regulatory agencies. Program Specialist will maintain good working relationships and foster collaboration with external and internal stakeholders to develop new utility initiatives that advance transportation electrification through innovation, collaboration and partnerships.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Political Science, Education, Communications, or other related degree or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE:
0 - 3 years or more of experience required.
