- Provide weekly supervision for master’s level and other assigned staff; support staff professional development activities and training needs.
- Review and approve all documentation produced by supervisees, maintaining compliance with NYS Department of Social Services and NYC Administration for Children’s Services.
- Complete supervisory review progress notes on monthly basis per case supervised.
- Assess and arrange for meeting the training needs of supervisees.
- Represent Preventive Services Programs at community functions, presentations, ad-hoc meetings, trainings, etc.
- Assume caseload coverage when supervisee is not available.
- Assist with FTCs, ERCs, CSC, and other family meetings as needed.
- Attend Supervisor meetings and Supervisory Forum.
- In absence of -Program Director, assign cases to program staff.
- Master's in Social Work required; NYS Licensed Masters in Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred.
- Completed all three CPP Learning Sessions and eligible for CPP Rostering.
- Must have Previous Supervisory experience; supervising MSWs or Interns is acceptable.
- Knowledge of individual, family and group therapeutic modalities.
- Knowledge of needs of, and identification of, abused and neglected children.
- Knowledge of child development and individual and family functioning.
- Demonstrated ability to work with hard to reach or resistant individuals and families.
- Excellent writing skills to fulfill state and city regulations for documentation.
- Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with client and teams that are culturally and professionally diverse
- Fluency in Spanish is HIGHLY preferred
JCCA is seeking a Supervisor to join our Preventive Services Program, offering targeted intervention to stabilize and strengthen families in crisis when their children are coping with mental illness and stress.
The Supervisor will oversee the deliverable of Therapists in the Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) model, which is an evidence-based therapeutic intervention method designed to assist families with children aged 0- 5, who have experienced at least one traumatic event, resulting in mental health, attachment and/or behavioral problems.
The goal of the CPP therapeutic method is to strengthen child-parent attachment, parental empathy, and resilience in families, helping to break cycles of abuse and neglect, promoting long-term stability.
Essential Responsibilities:
Hybrid Work Schedule - remote work days available
* 35-hours per week, Monday-Friday – should be flexible to work between the hours of 9am and 8pm and occasional weekends depending on client needs
