      He angitūtanga: The opportunity

      In this engaging role, you will make an important contribution to Auckland Council’s vision of celebrating Tāmaki Makaurau Māori identity. Reporting to the Manager Partnerships and Engagement, you will be the key coordinator for this division’s Māori Engagement Initiative programme. You will support timely and accurate delivery of the programme’s projects and initiatives. Some of your responsibilities will include tracking budget and quality management, monitoring the day to day activities and progress of projects, coordinating communications with a range of stakeholders, event management, reporting on program deliverables, and more. There is also potential to lead aspects of the programme where your unique skills and interests can add additional value – this is a role you can truly make your own.

      He kōrero mōu: About you

      You’ll have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a programme co-ordination role, or a similar communications, project management or engagement role. You’ll be an adept relationship builder, and effective at communicating with a range of different groups and individuals. You’ll also be confident navigating complex environments, have great attention to detail and are comfortable managing workshops and reporting for a large work-programme. An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi within both a historical and contemporary setting is an advantage.
