      Job Description

      Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

      The Student and Academic Services team in the Faculty of Arts is currently seeking a Programme Coordinator to cover staff leave. In this role, you will provide local administrative support for student and academic-related administrative processes.

      Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

      • Administration of Faculty scholarships and prizes, including setting up of scholarship committees
      • Provide day-to-day administrative support for academic committees, including minute-taking and coordination of meetings.
      • Provide administration supporting the calendar amendment and programme maintenance process.
      • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with key academic leaders and professional staff across the Faculty and Student and Academic Services to ensure effective support for an enhanced student experience and academic programme delivery.


      This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) 7-month fixed term contract.
      The salary range for this role is $50,700 - $63,900 per annum (pro rata), depending on experience and qualifications.

      Our suitable candidate will have:

      • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent gained through relevant experience.
      • 2 to 3 years of experience delivering high-quality administrative support.
      • Experience in working with and understanding the needs of a diverse range of clients.
      • Experience in working effectively in a team setting AND working independently with sole responsibility for coordinating an end-to-end process/activity.
      • Experience with contributing to process improvement and looking for continuous improvement opportunities.
      • Ability to navigate and negotiate online systems.
      • Ability to build and grow relationships.
      • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
      • Committee-servicing experience;
      • Proof-reading skills/attention to detail.
