- Process trade accounts payables and manage retainage.
- Enter approved trade billings into the financial software.
- Process owner accounts receivables and prepare owner applications.
- Prepare owner application reconciliations to job costs.
- Enter approved owner bills into the financial software.
- Review and post other job costs, including general conditions costs, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure all payables and receivables are handled according to company policy.
- Ensure timely payments to subcontractors and from owners.
- Ensure certified payrolls are submitted timely, review wage rates, and manage withholding of penalties from subcontractors when necessary.
- Prepare credit applications.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with payment, bonding, and insurance requirements.
- Ensure project and subcontractor compliance with sales, use, and gross receipts taxes, and other regulatory matters.
- Coordinate with project staff and provide reports and analysis as requested.
- Reconcile Daily Construction Reports to Certified Payroll receipts to ensure subcontractor compliance.
- Review Subcontractor Pending Change Order Logs and reconcile with contract management software.
- Review Approved and Pending Change Orders from owners and subcontractors and synchronize with financial software.
- Meet weekly with the project team to address any missing or delayed items.
- Assist the project team with budget preparation by updating actual costs for general conditions monthly.
- Coordinate with the project team to ensure timely completion and submission of EER/Procore budget reports.
- Experience in project accounting.
- Proficiency in Sage 300 and MS Office Suite.
- Experience in accounts payable, payment processing, and job costing.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Project Accountant.
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of Certified Payroll and Autodesk software.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Experience with a General Contractor or Construction Management Company.
- 5-7 years of construction experience in general contracting.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complicated tasks and lead others.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to resolve project-related issues promptly.
- Strong teamwork skills and a passion for success.

Work Environment
This position requires working onsite Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. You will be part of a supportive accounting team within a growing company that offers a friendly and family-oriented atmosphere. The company culture promotes a laid-back environment, provided work is completed efficiently, with opportunities for outings such as golf, baseball, and fishing. Early Fridays allow for leaving at 4 PM. Benefits include a full health package, PTO starting at two weeks based on tenure, and monetary growth after a six-month evaluation.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
