      Job Summary

      Responsible for resources to deliver complex and large strategic programs. Builds effective relationships with global stakeholders and government/governance bodies.

      Responsibilities:

      • Lead and guide a team of experienced professionals, encouraging career development opportunities

      • Ensure adherence to global operational standards

      • Collaborate with metro leads, directors, and non-operations subject matter authorities on standard processes, projects, and metro-related issues

      • Lead sophisticated projects, including budget and scope determination, and delegate tasks to the team

      • Coordinate multi-departmental project teams for efficient execution

      • Supervise vendor procurement activities and rigorously adhere to Equinix's standards, critical metrics, and service level agreements

      • Build, review, and submit the metro's annual opex, capex, and headcount budgets

      • Approve recommendations and pricing with local suppliers, maintaining servicing records for infrastructure maintenance

      • Review and approve proposals for data center infrastructure improvements

      • Possess sophisticated knowledge in various technical areas related to Data Center operations

      • Apply knowledge to implement new procedures and optimize operations

      • Demonstrate proficiency in Windows, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio software tools

      • Be responsible for capacity management across multiple sites

      • Lead and document all maintenance activities for data center equipment and ensure compliance with standards, making recommendations where appropriate

      • Supervise the takeover of new builds and building infrastructure, contributing to the design team where possible

      • Approve all Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOP) scripts and permits

      • Optimally communicate and coordinate activities and on-site staff during sophisticated or severe customer-impacting incidents

      • Acquire vital approvals for incident resolution, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence

      Qualifications

      • +10 years of proven track record in critical facilities operations

      • +5 years of demonstrated management ability in multiple facilities

      • HS Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred

      • Managing Successful Programs Foundation certification is preferred
