      UVA SOM Research & Clinical Trials Analytics Team (RCTA) is seeking a Project Assistant (Student Wage) team member. The position is responsible for supporting the RCTA team in redacting information from PDFs to support a research study. This position is fully remote and offers part-time (10 – 20 hours/ week), flexible work hours. The position is limited to UVA students eligible for student employment. The position will begin ASAP and is expected to last 3 – 6 months.

      The mission and goal of the RCTA Team is to empower the UVA research community by providing innovative research solutions. As a dynamic team of analysts, developers, and coders, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality services to support UVA researchers. By offering a variety of tools, systems, and expertise, we enable the UVA research community to achieve its fullest potential and drive impactful advancements in science and healthcare.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Redact information within PDFs using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
      • Validate another student’s redacted work for quality control
      • Attend 15-minute weekly huddles with the RCTA project lead
      • Record hours of work in Workday
      • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

      Qualifications:

      • Experience – Experience performing detailed document reviews with exceptional attention to detail. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is a plus.
      • Education – Current UVA Student
      • Experience with Online meeting applications (Teams, Webex, and/or Zoom)
      • Excellent communication skills
      • Self-motivated, resourceful, and inclusive
      • Able to work collaboratively and independently.
      • Customer service focused with exceptional attention to detail

      Position Compensation : $12.00/hr

      The selected applicant will be required to complete a background check prior to their first day of employment per university policy.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS

      This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
