Position Summary
Project Specialists ensure assigned tasks are handled timely and in accordance with the directions provided, procedures, and expected results. Ensures consumer-facing discussions are effective and handled with empathy. This position requires collaboration and coordination with internal teams and leadership. Attention to quality assurance and meeting deadlines and deliverables are other key elements of the role. Project Specialists will communicate with consumers in a professional manner and consistent with our values and standards.
Position Responsibilities
• Respond to complex inquiries from consumers across a variety of communication methods, phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Adhere to standard protocols, procedures, and instructions from the Project Manager (PM), Associate Project Manager (APM), and Supervisors.
• Implementing feedback from leadership and peers as required.
• Work effectively in a highly collaborative environment with a variety of business partners and internal teams.
• Create, monitor, and update scripting and procedures to ensure efficient and consistent work product is furtherance of project goals.
• Assist the PM, APM and/or Supervisors with resolving issues that might arise.
• Monitor overall project health by identifying and reporting any errors and creating solutions.
Required Qualifications and Characteristics
• Education: JD from an accredited US law school or foreign law degree and LLM.
• Virtual Workplace: Dedicated and distraction-free work environment to handle confidential and consumer-facing phone calls.
• Computer Skills: Outstanding computer literacy, including experience with MS Office Suite, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook/Teams. Experience with MS Access a plus but not required.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences with brevity. High level of extemporaneous speaking skills is preferred. Hearing and comprehending verbal messages, then confirming back your understanding.
• Time Management: Ability to handle changing and competing priorities to support business needs. Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
• Critical Thinking and Analysis: Expertise with identifying problems, causes, and potential solutions. An aptitude for analyzing the effectiveness of processes and procedures. Maintains keen attention to detail and the ability to understand and apply new information quickly, accurately, and consistently.
• Document Management: Meticulous recordkeeping skills; ability to properly document work product in accordance with company protocol.
• Conflict Resolution: Proficiency in identifying complaints and consumer agitation, along with the capacity to stay calm under pressure or when in conflict, especially while on phones. Ability to listen with an open mind and to consider other's ideas in order to find a mutually-beneficial path forward.
