Job Description
- Req#: 181461
- Assist the CSX Public Project Manager in handling, setup, assignments, reporting etc. of public projects within that territory.
- Pass on project assignments to various GECs as PM requires.
- Ensure PM tool is properly set up with appropriate information in searchable fields.
- Assist with obtaining approved budget within PM tool and Oracle (via ISetup) .
- Review agreements for standard language prior to requesting CSX authorization. (Each territory has different state " Standard Agreement " becoming familiar with these is a must)
- Update reports and give status during monthly public projects meeting.
- Work with Real Estate services on property and utility issues/needs.
- Work with Law department to provide documentation for legal inquires.
- Work with Government billing to establish billing number, resolve billing issues and close billing number when complete.
- Review GEC invoices for correctness and proper reporting within PM tool and transition to Oracle .
- Ensure projects are closed when work is completed within timeframe required.
- Ensure documentation, notes, plans, and details are updated in Unifier as historical information .
- Attend meetings with public agencies, other outside agencies and CSX employees as required .
- Train and assist GECs in CSX public projects standard processes.
- File all correspondence in G drive under each project.
- Handle from start to finish those projects not handled by GECs .
- Generate and distribute the " Public Projects Overrun Report " each month .
- Some office managerial duties, i . e. ordering supplies and dealing with facilities to get things repaired .
- Travel once a year to Atlanta for training
- Perform other duties as needed
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience working on freight rail projects is a plus
- Experience in Oracle preferred
- Ability to travel to Atlanta annually for training
- Preference given to local candidates
- Associate degree in a closely related field or combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 1 years related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
