- Provide effective product support to ensure a high degree of end-user satisfaction.
- Follow an effective control framework on production systems and ensure new systems meet internal compliance requirements.
- Maintain effective and positive relationships with product vendors and service partners that are involved in product delivery.
- Collaborate effectively with the Project Delivery Group and other Product Families to deliver consistent and integrated solutions.
- Provide coaching, mentorship and positive leadership of the Product Delivery team to maintain a healthy and productive workplace.
- Delegate effectively to team members and monitor progress to achieve expected results.
- Accountable and responsible for a team of Technology professionals working through technical leads and specialists.
- Direct the day-to-day activities by establishing the work unit’s strategies, business goals, performance indicators and objectives, priorities, work plans, milestone deliverables, and financial and resource plans.
- Determine the ongoing staff requirements and hire and/or promote subordinates in order to fulfill these needs.
- Conduct regular performance assessments of all staff and establish training strategies to target developmental needs.
- Manage delegated portion of the AVP/Director’s budget.
- Determine business/financial efficiencies respecting the utilization of resources.
- Ensures the responsible use of all resources and assets for the benefit of NAV CANADA; manages operating and capital expenditures in line with applicable budgets and approvals and in accordance with stated company and Technology objectives and priorities.
- Manage annual projects against the project framework.
- Manage project budget and forecast and deliver within scope, schedule and cost.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or Information Technology or an acceptable combination of education, experience and training.
- Postgraduate degree is an asset.
- 3-5 years of experience as a technical manager or team lead.
- 3-5 years of experience managing or leading people in a business or IT environment.
- Knowledge of the delivery of information technology solutions.
- Familiarity with the principles of product management.
- Knowledge of a breadth of IT disciplines, processes, practices and procedures.
- Ability to manage complex technical systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to interface with key clients and senior management and build sustainable relationships.
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries and solve problems within a distributed team.
- Ability to manage people and projects and handle multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
- Ability to make insightful, timely decisions in difficult and complex situations.
- Change management skills applied to dealing with rapid and iterative changes, and the associated ambiguity
- Strong leadership and team skills in a technical environment.

- This position is based at Ottawa Head Office and is eligible for a flexible work arrangement.

The Product Delivery Manager will be responsible for delivery of business value through the evolving technology products and environments. The Product Delivery Manager is responsible for the delivery of enterprise business solution products from initial development, through deployment and adoption, ongoing support and ultimately to end of life. The Product Delivery Manager is responsible to implement, test, deliver, and support their products throughout their life cycle. They will work collaboratively with the Product Manager, Product Family Leader, and the Architecture team to deliver a high quality product that is fully integrated with other products in the Product Family and across the portfolio of products.Job Description
