Job Description

- Own the project safety culture and take proactive measures to ensure safety is a top priority.
- Manage the project through Operational Qualification (OQ) and support successful Performance Qualification (PQ) completion which is expected to be done the summer of 2026.
- Manage the Automation, Construction, Project Services, Performance Qualification (PQ), Commissioning, Qualification and Validation team (CQV), and Start Up Teams.
- Facilitate communication – initiating dialogue as well as presenting relevant and timely updates on project status to all stakeholders.
- Manage engineering and construction partners (such as Flour and Jacobs).
- Manage owners, resources, and contractors, and all stakeholders to the project both internally and externally.
- Ensure successful partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and engineering/construction partners.
- Manage risk, cost, time, and quality while ensuring the safety of our team members.
- Manage deadlines, remove obstacles, and drive the team to ensure timeliness are met.
- Create a cost-conscious behavior to drive for delivery at approved budgets.
- Follows industry best practices with regards to changes and change control. Ensures alignment with GMP requirements.
- Works in accordance with FDB project model, systems, guidelines, and standards
- Bachelor’s (BA) or Master’s Degree (MSc) Physical, Chemical or Biological Science, Technical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience with construction of a large scale GMP or food manufacturing facility
- +15 years of experience preferably within bio-pharmaceutical production, Drug Substance Manufacturing and/or Finished Goods Manufacturing
- Ability to read and comprehend design prints/concepts, specifications and requirements, with an understanding of the OQ/PQ process
- Knowledgeable in EU-OSHA, and Danish Working Environment Authority (WEA) requirements as well as GxP concepts and biomanufacturing
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate honestly and openly at all organizational levels
- Fluency in English is a must; it is an added benefit if you are also fluent in Danish.
- Self-driven with an eye for details.
We are looking for an experienced Project Director to lead one of our major expansion projects in Hillerod - the Milky Way project. With an investment of nearly 11 billion DKK we will add 72.510 square feet to our current facility. The Milky Way project is expected to be completed by summer 2026.

About the Role
As a Project Director at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, your work will be focused on the oversight and management of the Milky Way building expansion project in Hillerod, Denmark.
In this role, you will be responsible for the construction interface with site operations, ensuring a smooth rollout for automation, engineering systems, project services, etc. You will communicate with a multitude of team members, from construction leads, to technical leads, to global executive teams.
You will be responsible for driving the execution of project deliverables, troubleshooting escalations, and ensuring all metrics are met.
About the Team
You will be leading a strong and international team of Project Managers, Work Package owners, and project team members. Your direct team will consist of leaders from six departments: Automation, Construction, Project Services, CQV, PQ, and Start-Up Team. You will report to our EVP for the Large Scale Business Unit.
