      Our team in Boulder, Colorado is looking for motivated leaders to drive our Operations and Development teams into the future. In these challenging assignments you will be responsible to lead your program, product, or initiative while working with your peers to deliver positive culture change across the Boulder site. This position is the Project Engineer that is responsible for assisting our Infrastructure team with a specific focus on the Boulder Labs environment.

      This position will coordinate planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates project path with technical team. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Provides engineering support and administrative skills while working closely with team leadership, program managers, product owners, and peers; assuming project responsibility for follow on projects or tasks.

      Specific tasks include:
      • Coordinate planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility
      • Organize activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering and design test problems
      • Support additional taskings by engineering leadership and Program technical leaders
      • Perform administrative management duties for engineering staff
      • Focus on providing assistance to team members to meet critical schedules and resolve critical/complex technical or operational problems.

      This position is in beautiful Boulder, Colorado location which has numerous amenities such as a fitness center, weekly food trucks, and a collaborative and modern agile workspace (in some cases).

      Desired skills

      • Experience in project management including but not limited to budget planning, cost analysis, schedule development, and risk and opportunity management
      • Experience with Agile software principles
      • Scrum Master certification
      • Understanding of engineering principles and processes with the ability to translate complex technical ideas between disciplines
      • Experience facilitating discussions, meetings, and capturing critical actions/requirements
      • Strong sense of follow-up and closure with strict attention to detail, quality, and whole system thinking
      • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
      • Ability to foster positive working relationships

      Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

      National Pay Statement

      Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 - $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
      Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
      (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
      This position is incentive plan eligible.

      Premium Pay Statement

      Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $66,200 - $114,655. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
