      We are currently looking for a Project Site Engineer to join our growing Natural Resources team in Kareng Northern Victorica .We are looking for someone with a broad range of experience across processing plant mining, oil & gas, and natural resources.

      Job Description

      The Site Project Engineer is responsible for leading the delivery aspects of their works to ensure the project is constructed to required safety standards, within budget and time and to the required level of quality.

      Assisting in the undertaking and delivery of a diverse range of project assurance and management consultancy assignments for Mineral Sands client VHM Ltd who have a project under development near Kerang Victoria (Goschen).

      Project engineering for the development of non process infrastructure, power supply and systems, water bores and network, roads, intersections, crossings and NPI as required.

      • Identification of appropriate innovation, value engineering and cost saving options.
      • Preparation of monthly reporting.
      • Assessing contractor claims.
      • Provide engineering/technical advice to on-site project staff involved in the execution of works.
      • Coordinate contractors/suppliers and monitor works to ensure project requirements are met within set budget and timeframes.
      • Ensure relevant information is communicated to stakeholders within an appropriate timeframe.
      • Participating in Client/contractor meetings and resolving Client/engineering and project management issues.
      • Avoid, minimise and/or mitigate environmental impacts.
      • Build and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with all stakeholders, through honest and open relationships.
      • Lead a safety aware culture and undertake work in activities in a safe manner.
      • Development of client budgets, cash-flows, schedules and trend tracking.
      • Improving project performance and outcomes
      • Assist in the strategic, operational and technical diagnosis of the client needs.
      • Support client’s organisation and senior management in improving their capacity to develop and deliver major projects and programs efficiently and effectively.
      • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
      • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
      • Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
      • Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
      • Reviewing & commenting on Engineering & contractual documentation submitted by third parties
      • Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards — Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards
      • Coordinating the Work and Activities of Others — Getting members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks
      • Scheduling Work and Activities — Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others
      • Developing and Building Teams — Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
      • Managing contractors and engaging consultancies
      • Cost and schedule reviews and inputs
      • Monitoring best practice design and construction that is complaint with standards
      • Managing projects related to site Power, Electrical, Water supply and Civil Infrastructure
      • Review and analyse budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports
      • Developing or update project plans including information such as objectives, technologies, schedules, funding, and staffing

      Qualifications

      • Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent tertiary/construction qualification
      • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position with multidiscipline projects, ranging from Feasibility to Project Delivery.
      • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the management or coordination of personnel.
      • Knowledge of project engineering design, documentation and administration
      • Excellent communication skills with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
      • Strong report writing skills.
      • Thoroughness and attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Proficient in the use of excel and Microsoft Project
      • A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle engineering, from project conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review.
      • Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project engineering, tools and techniques.
      • Experience in project engineering for medium, large, sized construction projects of medium to high complexity.
