      Zarpac based in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, is a leading global provider of packaging line engineering, integration, and productivity services and solutions. Zarpac’s products and services include packaging line system design and build, performance diagnostics software, robotics testing and integration, mechanical and electrical engineering, project management, technical training, productivity support, and material handling solutions.

      This highly technical position requires someone with a full understanding of automation systems and will be the face of the company to key global clients in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry. The Project Manager is responsible for connecting with the client from reviewing their initial needs analysis through to complete start up of automated packaging systems.

      • Complete all assembly line layouts in AutoCAD
      • Review and interpret customer and vendor drawings and specifications
      • Meet with and communicate with Customers on a regular basis to confirm status of projects
      • Coordinator with all involved parties to ensure project is executed on time and in budget
      • Write equipment specifications, send out RFQs and evaluate vendor responses
      • Generate and execute equipment acceptance tests
      • Provide assessments of different technologies
      • Create line layouts with an in-depth understanding of material and people flows
      • Create full installation packages including BOM, assembly drawings and layouts
      • Check & validate all final design documentation, parts lists and drawings according to design & contract requirements, to ensure completeness & accuracy
      • Create IQ/OQ documents
      • Provide technical assistance during installation, commissioning and start up
      • Supervise line and systems installations, including providing on-site direction to mechanical and electrical contractors

      • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related
      • Experience with line layouts, equipment specifications, and mechanical design required (AutoCAD).
      • Proficiency with 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor)
      • Strong AutoCAD skills
      • 5-7 years of experience in Engineering, preferably in the packaging or automation industries
      • Excellent verbal and written skills are essential.
      • Equipment start-up and debugging experience.
      • Ability to travel up to 30-50% of the year
