      General Summary

      Project engineers are responsible for all aspects of management and implementation of assigned capital projects and studies.

      Principal Accountabilities

      40% Executes Capital project installations. 20% Investigates and makes plans for new equipment installation and layouts. 10% Makes an assessment of existing manufacturing operations and proposed methods of operations to determine feasibility for modifications. 10% Assists with troubleshooting of existing systems, equipment, instrumentation, and controls. 10% Prepares project specifications, requisitions, engineering designs, and project timelines for new equipment.

      Job Complexity

      • Capital Management of projects between $50,000 and $1,000,000.

      • Collaboration with plant resources to balance schedules, planned work, and assets to meet the needs of the manufacturing plant.

      • Determination of best course of action for equipment or procedural plant issues.

      • Completion of all requirements of the Design Review process for each capital project.

      • Support of the plant operations through Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meeting attendance.

      Job Specifications

      • Bachelor's degree in engineering recommended or equivalent experience of 15 years Technical/Project Management experience. Education desired: BSEE

      • Years of relevant experience: Minimum 4 Years of industrial experience. Food experience strongly preferred.

      • Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

      • Extensive experience with machine controls, Machine safety, PLC code, HMI design, and implementation.

      • Strong background in networked machine and line control.

      • Ability to manage power distribution.

      • Experience with Capital Management Process to include scope development, estimating, development of timelines, cost tracking, installation, startup, and production turnover.

      • Effective planning and organizational skills.

      • Basic problem solving skills

      • Ability to be an active team member and potential leader

      • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and assignments.

      • Capacity to approach problems effectively and creatively.

      • Experienced team player that brings cohesion, enthusiasm and energy to group efforts.

      • Effective communication skills.

      • Working knowledge of CAD and engineering graphics.

      • Presentation skills using available technology and ability to convey information to other professional and operations personnel to accomplish assignments.

      • Communication skills with outside vendors and suppliers.

      Working Conditions

      Normal food processing plant environment.

      Limited travel.

      Review/Approvals

      Compensation and Benefits:

      The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

      $85,900.00 - $158,900.00

      An individual’s base pay depends on a number of factors, such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation, such as a performance-based bonus and other short- and long-term incentives. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits beginning on one’s first day of employment.
