Project Engineer – Commercial Construction

Location: Bay Area

Salary: $80,000–$110k + 100% employer-paid benefits (employee)

Benefits: 100% paid for employee | 50% paid for dependents

A leading $250M commercial General Contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to join their growing team. Known for their quality work and strong client relationships, this firm delivers a range of ground-up and tenant improvement projects across the commercial sector — including education, healthcare, retail, and civic work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers with daily coordination and documentation
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project schedules
• Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure smooth operations
• Review and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts
• Support jobsite safety and quality control efforts
• Attend project meetings and assist with project closeout

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 1–3+ years of experience in commercial construction (internship experience counts)
• Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced team environment
