      Roles & responsibilities

      • Position is located at the Sperry, IA manufacturing plant.
      • Assists in the monitoring and execution of the Engineering Department and Plant safety programs.
      • Prepares and follows the completion of all assigned Authorities and Job Sheet requests.
      • Utilizes technical training to advise on and design various process improvements as required by the operating department.
      • Assists Engineering Department supervision on routine maintenance assignments and follow-ups required for daily operations.
      • Assists the Engineering Manager in planning and implementing routine and non-routine maintenance expenditures.
      • Exposure to direct supervision involving plant engineering crews as well as outside contractors.
      • This position is designed to provide the incumbent with manufacturing exposure for positions of greater responsibility.

      Qualifications & Requirements:

      • Undergraduate degree in Engineering is required, with the course of study in Mechanical a plus.
        Prior full-time or co-op/intern experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
        Proficient computer skills (i.e Microsoft Office, Drafting, etc.)
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
      • High level of organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
      • Must be a self-starter, detailed-oriented, and have the ability to work both independently and within a team to meet deadlines.
      • Must be willing to relocate for advancement opportunities with the company.
