      Title: Project Engineer
      Location: Decatur, AL
      Onsite Flexibility: On-site
      Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard working hours
      Pay Rate: Competitive salary based on experience

      Responsibilities:
      • Review and understand utility customer drawing packages and specifications.
      • Design and analyze steel utility structures (primarily transmission, distribution, and substation) in compliance with national codes and industry standards.
      • Utilize 3D modeling software for pole design and proprietary calculation tools for component designs.
      • Provide technical support and collaborate with teams in sales, detailing, project management, and production.
      • Communicate and coordinate projects with internal and external customers, including design professionals.
      • Provide mentorship to junior teammates.
      • Occasionally travel to client's plants, utility offices, or trade shows.
      • Follow safety practices and ensure safety standards are met at all times.

      What We’re Looking For:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
      • Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or 3-5 years of engineering experience with an FE registration, actively pursuing PE licensure.
      • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
      • Ability to work as part of a team while managing multiple tasks.

      Preferred:
      • Master’s degree in engineering or business.
      • Experience in the transmission and distribution systems industry.
      • Knowledge of PLS-Pole software.
      • Steel products design or manufacturing experience.
      • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
