AIG’s Information Technology functions include application development and management, enterprise architecture, and technology risk and compliance.

      About the Role

      AIG ISO Detect & Response is seeking a highly skilled Project Management Scrum Master to help facilitate an agile environment in a very fast paced group of engineers and analysts. The candidate will execute a range of project management and scrum master duties. This person will be directly working with engineers across the organization and aids the team by eliminating external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process or workflow improvements. They will be responsible for creating and onboarding project teams, integrating them into the organization and providing a clear vision of the product. The Scrum Master also facilitates communication and information exchange between external groups and the project team. They also monitor project progress, reporting metrics, provide timely feedback, and drive a culture of agility and learning.

      What you need to know:

      • Manage each project’s scope and timeline
      • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups
      • Coach team members in Agile frameworks
      • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration across multiple teams
      • Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders)
      • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
      • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
      • Help teams implement changes effectively
      • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint
      • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
      • Takes an active role in the daily standups and agile frameworks to ensure tasks are being completed/delivered in a timely manner
      • Responsible in helping develop and maintain daily / weekly / monthly metrics as required

      What we're looking for:

      • Experience in a scrum master and or project management role
      • Familiarity with software development
      • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
      • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Crystal, XP, JIRA, Rally, etc.)
      • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
      • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
      • Outstanding organizational skills
      • Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field
      • Scrum master certification is a plus
      • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to train and develop staff
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills to include the ability to influence decisions with business units and technical leadership
      • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while being flexible and able to handle rapidly-changing scenarios
      • True change agent – not intimidated by challenge of unknown and willing to challenge status quo
      • Demonstrated ability to coach direct reports and effectively manage talent and performance
      • Strong ability to communicate via written and verbal communication in both formal and casual situations
      • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations with calm effectiveness
