- Responsible for the successful execution of medium to high complexity projects – New Product Development, Cost Down, Manufacturing Footprint within Business Divisions with end to end ownership. Lead the Integrated Product Team(s) to drive execution of projects by meeting financial performance.
- Understand project requirements, collaborate with project owners, leaders & cross functional teams across the globe for delivery of projects, by adhering to standard processes, systems and project management principles.
- Ensure the completion of project milestones/deliverables within committed Quality (Q), Delivery (D), Project cost (C) & Product cost (C), track performance and progress of project against committed QDC targets
- Provides periodic project updates (Project Performance Report – Green/Yellow/Red) of the current situation relating to milestones and issue/high risk areas (e.g., technical, cost, and schedule). Provides updates to the key stakeholders at Business Division and Unit levels as necessary.
- Report out project updates, risks and mitigations, productivity updates, QDC metrics, deployment efficiency, timesheet data, during the monthly Operations review meeting with leadership team
- Manages the Lifecycle Financials of the projects. Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for every project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments.
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve process, systems and develop/refine standard works
- Plays a key role in developing business proposals and executing the overall program plan.
- Control efforts and expenditures within constraints of project budget.
- Ensures Product Development Process and stage gate processes are adhered to.
- Leads the creation of the integrated project plans & schedules, project budget in partnership with the team and the organization. Manage, forecast, collect cost and report on project budget / schedule.
- Graduate/ Postgraduate with 12-13 years of experience, bachelor’s in mechanical/ production engineering.
- PMP® or CAPM® accreditation from Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly recommended.
- Min 8 years of product development experience in Hydraulics industry and hyd. components & product life cycle experience of these products or related experience
- Knowledge on Microsoft project management is preferred.
- Knowledge with Microsoft Business Software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project 2007)
- Leadership skills - capability to lead change in an Integrated Team (IPT).
- Good communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and project presentations to senior management and global stakeholder.
- Experience with cross cultural teams in multiple locations in a global set up
- Design and develop an effective Project Management Office (PMO) structure and functioning, including processes, procedures, templates, and governance.
