  Role Overview:

  1. Main purpose of the role

  The Project Manager – Value Engineering is responsible for Managing all Value Engineering Projects across the entire value chain so as to deliver estimated cost savings.

  1. Key responsibilities

  • Create Project Plan and baseline for all Value Engineering projects covering the entire value chain from should costing to release of part for manufacturing
  • Update Project Plan on daily / weekly basis with latest updates from all stakeholders.
  • Track and monitor schedule variance.
  • Publish Project Status Reports.
  • Risk management
  • Change management.
  • Ensure that accurate project status is available in the Project Dashboard.
  • Project tracking, monitoring, and control to generate key metrics.

  1. Candidate Background and competencies
     1. Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ work experience as Project Manager in an Industrial OEM

  2.2 Competencies

  • Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project and Primavera.
  • English - good writing and communication abilities
  • PMP or equivalent certification is desirable.

     1. Internal

  • Reports to the Value Engineering Office Lead / Manager
  • Works with SKF LM Engineering teams in India, Europe & North America
  • Part of LECI’s Multi-disciplinary product development team comprising of electronics hardware designers, embedded software developers, mechanical engineers and product managers.
    1. External
  • Working with the supply chain partners and vendor ecosystem.
