This notice is issued under direct-hire authority in response to the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) Act of 2022 for which NIST has a critical hiring need.
This announcement will close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the date the first 200 applications are received or 08/13/2024, whichever comes first.
Duties:
- lead and manage microelectronics portfolios and programs;
- conceive and execute roadmaps and strategy for semiconductors;
- execute, track, manage and monitor OTA projects for semiconductors;
- mature and transition semiconductor technology across the supply chain; and
- create and manage semiconductor portfoliosRequirements
Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level (ZA-IV at NIST) in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in leading and managing microelectronics portfolios and programs, including developing strategic plans, setting program goals, tracking, and monitoring project award, execution, monitoring and performance. Semiconductor industry experience and/or experience in the USG working with semiconductor companies.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
