What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Find and evaluate development opportunities, conduct feasibility analysis, and create development strategies
- Obtain project financing and coordinate negotiation of legal agreements
- Manage development team and oversee design, construction, and other consultants
- Obtain public approval and permits for projects
- Monitor construction progress, resolve conflicts, and manage project budget
- Assist Property Management Department with project transition and ongoing operation
- Advocate for affordable housing and stay informed of public policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, real estate development, finance, planning, or construction management
- Minimum 3 years of related work or field work experience in affordable housing development
- Ability to work congenially with individuals, community-based organizations, and governmental entities
- Strong project management and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in residential architecture, finance, planning, or construction
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Thought-provoking and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work well in a team and drive new ventures
