      Description

      PROJECT MANAGER ASSISTANT

      Role Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our project management team, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of various projects. The Project Manager Assistant will be responsible for assisting in project planning, coordination, communication, and documentation.

      Scope of Position: The Project Manager Assistant (PMA) is based at the Wilson Lumber Company in Huntsville, AL. The position may require up to 25% travel time to jobsites.

      Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities expected of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

      • Project Coordination:
        • Assist in coordinating project activities, tasks, and timelines.
        • Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met within specified timelines.
        • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any potential issues.
      • Documentation and Reporting:
        • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and status reports.
        • Generate and distribute regular reports to update stakeholders on project status.
        • Compile and organize project-related data for analysis.
      • Communication:
        • Facilitate communication between team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
        • Schedule and organize meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute minutes.
        • Act as a point of contact for project-related queries.
      • Administrative Support:
        • Provide administrative assistance to the project management team, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
        • Assist in the preparation of presentations, documents, and other project-related materials.
      • Quality Assurance:
        • Support the implementation of quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet established standards.
        • Assist in identifying and resolving any issues affecting project quality.

      Qualifications:

      • Well-developed team skills and unquestioned integrity
      • Proven experience in a project management support role.
      • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
      • Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
      • Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
      • Strong analytical skills.
