Job Description

- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, prepare for and conduct team meetings, identify project deliverables, and plan and assign tasks,
- Monitor and ensure project deliverables are met within established time frames, evaluate project risks, and provide status updates,
- Conduct research and interpret regulations promulgated by the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, and any other applicable regulatory authority to develop recommendations for decision-makers related to the implications of proposed or new legislation or regulations that affect our benefit plans,
- Analyze costs and create project budgets,
- Develop requirements and create recommendations,
- Plan for and coordinate the development of communications to our associates and their family members,
- Provide relevant and proper technical expertise to teams, gather, analyze, and validate data from various sources, develop communications, workflows, and requirements, and
- Continuously reinforce and perpetuate the Publix culture, deliver legendary customer service to customers and team members, and perform position responsibilities with the highest level of integrity.
- Four-year degree in a field related to the primary responsibilities of this position (e.g. Human Resources, Business Administration, Health Care Administration)
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, Project Management Specialist
- Five years experience working with qualified benefit plans or directly with a benefits consulting firm involved in plan design and administration
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent experience
- 4-years of corporate environment experience
- 3-years of project management experience
- Intermediate experience in Word, Excel
- Basic experience in Power Point, Access
- Ability to work overnight and extended hours
- Three or more years management-level experience
- The ability to interpret and apply legal regulations

As a Project Manager in Benefits Administration, you will have the opportunity to lead strategic and benefits-critical projects that improve efficiency and provide an even better employee benefits experience in support of our Retirement, Group Benefits and Stockholder Services departments. You will lead project teams and collaborate with various levels of management to ensure project success. This includes obtaining business and project objectives, goals, and priorities, providing direction to project teams to meet project objectives to drive projects to completion, building communication strategies, creating, and maintaining project plans, budgets, deliverables, milestones and driving outcomes.
