      Duties and Responsibilities

      • The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership, oversight and supervision of research team members; This will include identifying, developing, participating in, implementing, and evaluating effective research management strategies, and promoting the research aspects of the Center for Data Analytics
      • Works collaboratively with the Center Director to anticipate and initiate appropriate actions
      • Execute project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within the budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and benefit the investigative teams by ensuring smooth implementation of new projects from conception through completion.
      • Support leadership in planning, including scoping projects, defining deliverables, developing work plans, and setting budgets across a portfolio of projects
      • Collaborates activities and project status with Center Director · Builds relationship with stakeholders, students, and partners
      • Assign research duties to staff based on skill assessments, to optimize participant scheduling, research procedures, meetings with study monitors, IRB requirements, budget, and invoice preparation and monitoring
      • Assist with management of project budgets, includes tracking expenses and planning for appropriate and cost-effective resource allocation
      • Provides support and submits progress reports, interim budgets reports, tracking and milestones for basic research activities
      • Grants and contracts: Pre-award and post-award functions that includes, but may not be limited to: proposal preparation, submission, budget development, account maintenance and oversight, billing/invoicing, reporting, compliance, and closeout.

      Data management responsibilities:

      • Ensures timely completion of all necessary paperwork and data documentation, including coding and cleaning data forms, data entry and tracking, and performing QA data checks
      • Coordinate database design and develop and monitor protocols for data transfer and collection
      • Develop and maintain database for data monitoring
      • Work with Director to assure appropriate data for preliminary and final data analyses
      • Data analysis activities as needed

      Minimum Qualifications

      Education
      Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business, or related discipline (Preferred)


      Experience
      • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience including participation in research/data projects
      • Background in project management with preferred experience in data protection, research ethics, regulatory compliance, or use of IRBs
      • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively

      • Ability to work with flexibility on several tasks simultaneously and to meet various concurrent deadlines
      • Strong organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
      • Ability to work for long periods of time without direction
      • Ability to prioritize own work and the work of others as needed
      • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills in both oral and written forms
      • Ability to conduct statistical analysis and determine statistical accuracy, preferred
