- Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned projects within the Department of Neurology.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders, including the Administrative Director, Medical Directors, and department teams, to define project goals and deliverables.
- Oversee all project phases from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are executed within scope and on time.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Identify and engage key stakeholders across both inpatient and outpatient divisions.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings, taking detailed notes, and preparing actionable meeting minutes.
- Create and maintain action plans based on feedback and outcomes from stakeholder meetings.
- Project Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track project progress, measure outcomes, and report on project status and KPIs.
- Use project management tools and methodologies to maintain visibility of tasks, deadlines, and project milestones.
- Provide regular updates to the Administrative Director and Medical Directors on the progress of key initiatives and projects.
- Create and present summary reports to leadership, highlighting project outcomes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Data Collection & Analysis:
- Collect and analyze data related to project performance and outcomes.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing key insights and recommendations.
- Ensure that data collection methods align with departmental goals and project requirements.
- Newsletter & Communications:
- Collaborate with the department to create and distribute a newsletter highlighting important projects, initiatives, and achievements within the department.
- Assist in crafting content, coordinating contributions, and ensuring the newsletter effectively communicates key messages to internal and external stakeholders.
- Department activities:
- Supports key department activities including but not limited to developing, coordinating and managing inpatient schedules at various hospitals.
- Attend key inpatient and outpatient meetings, take notes, track and monitor action items.
- Support Additional Tasks:
- Assist in other administrative and/or project-related tasks as assigned by the Administrative Director or Medical Directors.
- Work on special initiatives that support the overall goals of the Department of Neurology.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- A degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification also preferred.
- Excellent Written and communication skills. Creating presentations using MS PowerPoint or similar tools.
- Organization skills
- Experience using data management and reporting tools such MS Excel & MS Access
- Skill in use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Job Summary:
The Project Manager in the Department of Neurology is responsible for leading and executing key initiatives and projects which span across inpatient and outpatient. The role involves managing all phases of projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting outcomes. The Project Manager reports to the Administrative Director and works closely with the Medical Directors of both the inpatient and outpatient divisions. A key part of the role is creating project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring that project goals are met on time and within scope. This position also requires a strong ability to collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
