- Review, recommend and evaluate the design, installation, and operations of both medium/low voltage electrical systems and power controls systems/stations to ensure compliance with NEC requirements, while evaluating them for the optimization of efficient, safe, and economical operation.
- Define and prepare job scopes and cost estimates.
- Provide leadership and direction to project team that may be comprised of internal and external service providers including, but not limited to, Product Movement, project engineers, planning engineers, operations, environmental services, field personnel, procurement, design engineering, engineering contractors, survey contractors, construction contractors, ROW, permitting, EH&S, Control Center. Interface with other technical/engineering disciplines to ensure the effective integration of electrical systems with the overall product design.
- Provide or direct the appropriate level of project documentation during the project and following completion to assure compliance with Corporate, Federal, State, and other governing bodies policies.
- Assist with the commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems.
- Manage project finances and prepare accurate monthly project cash flow forecast.
- Manage project schedules.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully communicate with Management on goals and objectives.
- Ensure ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes.
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance.
- Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
- Accountable for completing tasks with quality, compliance with applicable codes/standards, and on schedule.
- Represent the Company in area of expertise with customers, suppliers, licensees, third party engineering firms, outside consultants, and industry associations.
- Work with operations and maintenance personnel of different facilities helping to resolve issues while building positive relationships.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Provides project management support to operations and maintenance personnel and manages a broad range of capital and major maintenance projects primarily for refined product facilities, terminals, and pipelines. Position will primarily be responsible for managing the design, permitting, and construction of electrical power and control/automation systems used in products terminals and pipeline facilities. Projects include (but are not limited to), switchgear, breaker, truck rack control systems, and VFD installations.KINDER MORGAN
