      Overview



      We are seeking a full-time Project Manager Environmental Compliance in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for applying project management skills to drive worldwide environmental product initiatives.

      Essential Functions

      • Ensure product compliance with environmental regulations and directives, including REACH Regulation, WEEE Directive, RoHS I/II (III) Directive, Prop 65, Batteries Directive, etc.
      • Serve as environmental and regulatory point of contact in the product environmental compliance team
      • Document project scope for strategic initiatives [i.e. detailed assumptions, requirements (internal, external, regulatory), objectives/targets, validation needs, resource estimates, costs, and timing]
      • Leverage advanced communication skills to ensure team members and stakeholders are informed
      • Lead project tradeoff discussions and drive decisions to keep projects moving forward
      • Drive issue to resolution through identification of risks/issues and creation of mitigation plans
      • Propose auditable processes that will satisfy market, regulatory and customer requirements
      • Effectively track, manage, and support multiple projects and priorities, simultaneously

      Basic Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or relevant field AND a minimum of 3 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
      • Proficiency in understanding and interpreting state and national legislation, directives and industry standards such as RoHS, REACH, EPEAT, WEEE, etc.
      • Ability to analyze a problem to root cause, brainstorm, offer solutions, align with stakeholders and execute
      • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
      • Demonstrates excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skills
      • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
      • Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint)

      Desired Qualifications

      • Experience as a project manager in regulatory affairs
      • Familiarity and experience with Environmental Regulations, such as ROHS, REACH, IMDS, ODC, etc.
      • Experience working with industry advocacy groups, regulatory bodies and standards organizations
