The HR Operations Project Manager serves as the principal project manager within the HR Strategic Operations , driving critical projects and initiatives across the various HR Centers of Expertise (Benefits, Compensation, DEIB, Employee/Labor Relations, and Talent Acquisition) . Reporting directly to the Vice President, HR Strategic Operations, the HR Operations Project Manager provides project management support and guidance, project status reports, high-level analyses and summaries, as well as other relevant materials to COE leaders, external stakeholders, and system leadership. Responsible for supporting HR projects and initiatives designed to improve efficiency and/or enhance the employee experience across Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS). Manages assigned projects components from discovery phase through implementation. The HR Operations Project Manager must be able to communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances and achieve desired results using strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran. Responsibilities 1. Works in conjunction with departmental resources, identifies areas of opportunity for improvement. Develops qualitative and quantitative analysis to support recommendations. 2. Conducts research as required to successfully complete assigned projects. Collects data to support value-add improvements in clinical outcomes, operational efficiencies and /or improved financial performance. Develops meaningful and impactful analysis based on collected data to support changes in operations. 3. Prepares business proposals and presentation to effectively communicate analysis to appropriate stakeholders and gain support/ buy-in of suggested improvements. 4. Provides project management and staff support to optimize planning and performance, and provides ongoing project support and assistance as needed. 5. Develops detailed project plans to ensure the efficient and timely implementation of process improvements. 6. Participates in regulatory process, supports surveys and agreed reporting process, as well as regulatory research across the health system. 7. Establish strong, effective and collaborative partnerships with key business area leaders, project managers and subject matter experts to identify specific business opportunities or to address business needs or problems and help build effective solutions. 8. Responsible for championing a cultural change towards an employee centric organization, focused on employee experience, operational excellence, process management, and efficiency, including training managers and employees 9. Develop and implement change management plans 10. Develop and measure strategic success via KPIs 11. Ensure strategic projects are aligned with business requirements and are coordinated with key stakeholders 12. Optimize commitments of resources across programs, ensuring that they are appropriately engaged and resolving conflicts, issues and gaps 13. Enable and track adoption of changes being rolled out through the organization, including impact assessments, training and communications 14. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, including (but not limited to) Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration, required. Master's degree preferred. EXPERIENCE Minimum of three (3) years of experience in management consulting, human resources /human capital consulting, or another related field required; must include at least two (2) years of direct project management experience . Experience in data analysis and reporting required. SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to organize activities and establish priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to navigate across departments and delivery networks to achieve results . Proficient with computer information systems, data manipulation and reporting, demographics, forecasters, pivot tables, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
