      Job Overview

      TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

      Responsibilities

      • Manage project scope, schedule and budget for projects within assigned business area
      • Lead assigned core teams to achieve established goals
      • Clearly communicate roles, expectations and responsibilities to team members on a regular basis using cross-functional KPI procedures
      • Conducting weekly status meetings with the internal core team and external customers
      • Use of system tools to ensure project performance KPIs, OI and time-to-market goals are achieved
      • Monitor project implementation with particular emphasis on providing early warnings to detect, develop and implement remedial action plans where necessary
      • Follow established stage-gate processes and ensure integrity of project deliverables including submission to the Project Approval Committee
      • Manage capital budgets for projects and ensure execution in accordance with the business unit's financial plan
      • Create and maintain a schedule for Microsoft projects with core team and customer commitment to all projects
      • Monitoring the approval process for production parts and coordinating the market launch according to the principles of a flawless introduction
      • Establish and coordinate design reviews, DoE and continuous improvement activities
      • Create and manage change control, risk identification and risk mitigation plans
      • Manage the technical interface to the core teams with a problem-solving and action-leading approach
      • Tracking project experiences and managing best practices

      What your background should look like:

      • Graduated in Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering. Preferably a joint degree of engineering and business administration (industrial/ commercial engineer)
      • 3 years+ of experience working in a Commercial / Technical environment
      • 2 years+ of experience in Technical or Engineering related function
      • 2 years+ experience in a Project Management / Lead environment
      • Three or more years of demonstrated Project Management experience in design & manufacture (electrical connectors preferred), working with internal and external customers.
      • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and meet scope, schedule, and budget required.
      • Experienced in the Automotive industry.
      • Demonstrated leadership of project teams within a regionally deployed matrix environment.
      • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and assembly design principles required.
      • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project, on-line collaboration tools, and databases.
      • Competent presentation soft skills as well as good communication skills (internal & external)
      • Understanding of continuous improvement working and deployment principals involving problem solving
      • Basic SAP knowledge
      • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and German
      • Knowledge and understanding of precision stamping, moulding, crimping and assembly processes as a plus
