      Position Summary
      The Costco Travel Portfolio and Project Strategy Office (PPSO) is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to join our team. The PM will report to a centralized portfolio and project strategy office and will be responsible for leading cross functional project teams. The PM will manage a range of projects and programs; assignments will depend on the size and complexity of initiatives. PMs on this team are expected to provide leadership throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, and to do so with integrity and professionalism.

      Job Duties/Essential Functions
      • Understands the practice of Project Management as defined in the PMBOK.
      • Exercises credibility in the creation and maintaining of key project management artifacts, such as project charters, organization charts, RACIs, schedules, risk/issue/decision logs, meeting minutes, and lessons’ learned artifacts.
      • Understands the importance of business objectives and requirements and helps establish key needs with sponsors in the initiation and planning phases of the project/program.
      • Teaches, mentors, and is a part of a culture that fosters growth and development.
      • Uses communications and organizational skills and experiences to actively participate as part of a collaborative PPSO team.
      • Works calmly in a fast-paced environment and stays focused on the key outcomes and directives of the project or program.
      • Uses key project management tools and skills to bring teams together.
      • Facilitates and leads weekly team meetings and monthly steering committee meetings.
      • Develops presentation material and presents to all levels.
      • Builds credible timelines and creates/defines work breakdown structures with the team to achieve meaningful project schedules.
      • Knows when to escalate risks, issues, and dependencies. Understands the importance of developing mitigation strategies and recommendations with the project team to create autonomy and strength at the team level and respect at the executive level.
      • Understands the importance of incorporating other bodies of knowledge and practices like Change Management, Lean Six Sigma, and Agile to ensure optimal project/program success.
      • Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location
      Non-Essential Functions

      Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications
      Required:
      • 5+ years’ experience in Project and/or Program Management.
      • Understanding of the PMBOK based Project Management Methodology and Practice.
      • Demonstrated ability managing multiple projects and/or programs.
      • Ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to a changing environment.
      • A strong sense of integrity.
      Recommended:
      • Experience working in an Enterprise or cross functional Project Management Office.
      • Project Management training or certification is preferred.
      • Familiarity with Agile is beneficial.
      • Familiarity working with software development teams and projects is helpful.
      • Experience using Google suite.
      • Experience using Smartsheet.
      • Knowledge of Change Management and Lean Six Sigma or Process Improvement is helpful
      • High School Diploma or GED preferred

      Salary Range: $110,000 - $155,000
