Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

This role involves handling diverse responsibilities both internally and externally, including project management, estimating, business development, client interaction, budget management, and sales. The Project Manager will be engaged in all phases of project development, from take-off plans to project finalization, and will be responsible for budget creation, client meetings, and complete project oversight. Though primarily an office-based position, it requires site visits to ensure project progress. The role offers a unique opportunity to apply construction experience within an office setting. Training will be provided to familiarize the individual with company operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire lifecycle of construction projects.
• Develop and manage project budgets.
• Conduct project estimation.
• Engage in client interaction and business development.
• Coordinate construction activities and client interactions.
• Oversee change orders and project coordination.
• Utilize office technology for day-to-day responsibilities.

Essential Skills

• Project management expertise in construction.
• Project estimation proficiency.
• 5+ years of commercial construction coordination and management.
• 5+ years of budget and estimating experience.
• Construction field experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification.

Work Environment

This role is based in a small general contracting firm specializing in commercial construction projects located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The company operates predominantly in the Kalamazoo area, with a focus on maintaining strong relationships with repeat clients. The work environment is collaborative, offering opportunities for ownership in the future, and involves active participation in business decisions alongside the owner. There are incentives and bonuses available based on performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr.
