      SUMMARY

      ‘Paving the Way for Immigrant and Racialized Women’ project shall aim to advance women’s economic security and prosperity. It will address barriers to immigrant and racialized women in their entry, retention, and success in the workplace. The project will engage and work with organizations in Ontario to address inequities through the application of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) practices and principles. This project will also conduct ongoing consultations with immigrant and racialized women for their input while providing tailored information sessions and briefings to employers in Ontario.

      The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of all project activities. The Project Manager is responsible for managing the project budget, completing internal and external reporting requirements in a timely manner, and providing supervision and leadership to the project team to ensure that all objectives, milestones and expected outcomes are achieved in accordance with Achev and project funder standards.

      Relationships and partnership development with internal and external stakeholders is a key component of this role.

      DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Develop and oversee detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with the project's objectives and timelines.
      • Manage the process of recruitment, onboarding, supervision, professional development, performance management of project staff.
      • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment to ensure successful project execution and outcomes.
      • Prepare independent service agreements applicable to project partners
      • Facilitate ongoing consultations with immigrant and racialized women to gather input and insights.
      • Organize and conduct targeted interventions with employers, leveraging the DEIA Toolkit and assessment framework.
      • Prepare and submit payroll, manage vacation scheduling, and sick day coverage pertaining to project staff
      • Compile internal and external reporting requirements, including monthly and quarterly narrative and cash flow variance reports, annual project performance reports and final project reports to be reviewed by the Manager, Career and Newcomer Services
      • Compile data and feedback to develop a final best practices manual and advanced toolkit.
      • Prepare regular progress reports and present findings to stakeholders and project funders.
      • Develop and approve content for marketing collateral and consistently monitor the effectiveness of program promotional activities
      • Address project concerns in a timely manner and escalate complex issues to the Manager, Career & Newcomer Services
      • Review the client feedback received via Achev’s Client Charter and provide appropriate and timely responses and action as necessary
      • Manage and audit OneClient database to ensure appropriate maintenance of client information
      • Assess changing project needs and propose innovations to address them and/or develop additional services
      • Other duties as assigned

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Bachelor’s degree in project management, social sciences, business administration, or a related field.
      • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management including personnel management, preferably within the social services sector with demonstrated and in-depth working knowledge of newcomer settlement and employment issues. Experience working on DEIA initiatives and/or with immigrant and racialized communities is desirable.
      • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement budgets and manage cash flows in accordance with funder and organizational standards
      • Knowledge of government funding requirements and procedures including government reporting
      • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, especially report writing and editing
      • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Canva, Survey Monkey, and Adobe Acrobat, is required
      • Strong organizational skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with attention to detail
      • Demonstrated ability to handle various competing demands, while being committed to the highest level of client service delivery
      • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with clients, team members, employers, and community
      • Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast- paced environment.
      • Ability to travel for internal and external stakeholder meetings and conferences
      • Willing to work evenings and weekends as dictated by program need
      • Provision of a Criminal Reference Check if required for specific funder/program demands
