      Job Description

      The project manager of the Bosch Lincolnton Lct102 new building project has the primary responsibilities of leading the cross-functional team charged with launching the new Lct102 building on-time, on-budget, and on-specification. The project includes supervision of the building (BAU) construction, facilities management, design of value stream maps for optimized material flow, layout of warehouses and offices, and ownership of the relocation of MAE into Lct102.

      The project manager must be a strong communicator with all levels up to executive management. The manager must have experience leading a cross-functional project team while maintaining transparent project milestones and documentation. He/she should have value stream, BPS, or logistics experience in order to optimize material flow systems. He/she leads with a servant leadership mindset and actively takes action to maintain a positive, appreciative, accountable culture.

      • Manages a small cross-functional team dedicated to the launch of new Lct102, the relocation of the circular saw blade (CSB) value stream into the new building, and launch of all support systems (ie – warehouse and material flow systems, Quality support, HSE permits and emergency systems, facilities management, SAP, i4.0 MES connectivity, etc)
      • Ensures an on-time, on-budget, on-specification building launch and CSB relocation.
      • Maintains transparent project documentation, including but not limited to budget and timing status.
      • Ensures all project management Quality Gates are met, per Power Tools division and FCM requirements.
      • Presents effectively to executive management to communicate current status and escalation points.
      • Works independently to identify project risks and cost improvement opportunities.
      • Facilitates workshops with extended teams to ensure all ideas are captured and the most effective solutions are implemented for the new Lct102 operational model.
      • Develops optimized material flow and value stream designs (VSD) for Lct102.
      • Participates in business planning cycles and target setting
      • Follows BPS (Lean Production) guidelines for VSD
      • Implements organizational initiatives with minimal guidance
      • Leads meetings to build team spirit and communicate company updates

      Qualifications

      Required Experience and Skills:

      • Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering or related technical field
      • Demonstrated project management experience in large capital or new building projects
      • 5+ years with close interaction with value stream, logistics, or project management
      • Experience in process development and/or manufacturing
      • Ability to lead in a multi-cultural, diverse, international working environment
      • Experience interfacing with executive management
      • Exceptional continuous improvement process skills
      • Places an emphasis on a culture of appreciation and servant leadership
      • Strong proactive, analytical, problem solving, planning and organization skills
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      Preferred Skills:

      • 3+ years in leadership role
