- Defines project scope, charter, goals, and deliverables in support of business goals, while working with stakeholders for approval.
- Plans, schedules, and executes project plan to ensure the projects are completed on time and meet or exceed all business and system requirements.
- Maintains standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
- Facilitates requirements gathering by evaluating the needs of a variety of users across multiple teams.
- Facilitates and participates in technical meetings, builds of technical specifications, and execution of testing to ensure deliverable satisfies requirements.
- Provides updates on the status, risks, issues, key activities, and any changes to the project to key stakeholders and IT leadership.
- Participates in the evaluation, selection, and maintenance of continuous improvement initiatives for the Project Management Practice including enhancing and creating new tools, templates, processes, and standards.
- Collaborates with various stakeholders within the IT organization, building and promoting positive working relationships.
- Adheres to stringent project reporting requirements and processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $101,600.00 - $113,200.00

Position Summary
Leads the planning, organizing, and implementation of multiple projects while maintaining complete control of the project schedule, budget, risks, and issues. Provides IT leadership and project stakeholders with regular updates on project health and progress including timely reporting on risks and remediation recommendations. In addition, assists OSPM leadership with implementing new processes, improving current process, and with the overall growth and maturity of the project management practice at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Education
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline with an Information Technology focus.
Approximately 4+ years of hands-on IT or Project Management experience.
Sufficient technical background to:
a. Understand the technologies and technical issues involved with IT projects
b. Manage and understand project scope and resources
c. Anticipate, identify, and manage resolutions of critical obstaclesProject Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
- Energetic self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to adapt tone and style for broad and diverse audiences.
- Proficient core computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Advocates within the organization for the projects to which one is assigned and the business and strategic goals that they intend to meet.
- In all areas, promotes and maintains a favorable work environment for oneself and others to assist in meeting the overall mission of the medical college.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while providing high-quality work.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Position requires working in an office environment where there are some physical discomforts such as dust, dirt, noise and the like are present. Ability to work off-hours and weekends for go-lives, testing and emergencies, as well as light travel between office locations, primarily within NYC is required.
Occasional meetings or clinical staff interactions in typical patient care areas may be required through direct patient exposure is not expected. Occasional moving of computer requipment or similar objects up to approximaelty 50 lbs may be required to expedite projects.
