The Global Pharmaceutical Technology Support group (PTS) (> 100 employees) is the steward and owner of the science and technology and the associated processes for products in our animal health organization which are being manufactured by internal sites and external partners around the globe. The global team Packaging Technology & Support (16 employees in three teams) is responsible for and specialized in topics like new packaging systems introduction, packaging improvement, packaging systems validation and packaging issues resolution related to our entire animal health product portfolio.

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Associate Director of Packaging Technology & Support based in Boxmeer, the Project Manager assumes responsibility for the complete life cycle of packaging solutions, including development, validation, and implementation, with a specific focus on our manufacturing sites in Europe. This encompasses projects involving new packaging, issue resolution, and enhancement initiatives. You steer projects to successful completion, evaluating the implications of implementing packaging solution standards. You provide oversight for ongoing implementation and standardization projects and instigate new initiatives aligned with the packaging strategy. Additionally, you play a vital role in participating as a subject matter expert in capex projects. Close collaboration is essential, involving coordination with R&D Product Development, Global Engineering Services, Global Supplier Management, site filling and packaging departments, as well as external suppliers of packaging materials and equipment.

This role can be based in Boxmeer (NL), Unterschleissheim (D), Krems, Vienna (A) or Milton Keynes (UK).

Your profile

• Degree in a relevant field (Packaging systems, Material Science).
• Extensive experience with packaging, packaging material technology and packaging equipment or manufacturing position in a relevant environment (Pharma, Food).
• Knowledge of the packaging technology business (major players in the business, trends & innovations, major technologies).
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Willing to travel up to 40 % of the time (predominantly Europe).
• Living at a reasonable distance of one of the job locations mentioned above.

For Austria: The minimum annual salary for this position is €59.200,- and varies according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
