- Report and collaborate with Program Management Office on all project matters
- Review and develop contract documents
- Plan, Organize, direct, coordinate, and report performance of College Project Management team and construction projects.
- Identify risk and create risk mitigation plans successfully
- Documents and reports all project data accurately and in a timely manner
- Create and present project and college data clearly to multiple stakeholder groups
- Successfully manage and execute 5 to 10 projects simultaneously, ranging in construction value and complexity from $2M to $20M each.
- Successfully delivering construction projects on schedule and within budget
- Coordination of budget and schedule information with the Relocation Project Manager regarding FF&E, Asset Disposition/Surplus, and Relocation
- Successfully closeout projects to include DSA closeout and PMO/District closeout
- Tracks status and provides management reports relative to scheduling, cost control, staffing and other related construction contract requirements
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Knowledge and experience planning, managing & coordinating all aspects of project, scope and cost for multiple projects.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and re-evaluate scope throughout the project and recommend adjustments when necessary.
- Experience collaborating with cost management group to provide accurate and timely cost estimates, cost studies, actual job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation.
- DSA experience.
- Experience with Value Engineering.
- Ability to exercise creativity and resourcefulness in managing the project effectively in a compressed timeframe.
- Utilize effective written and oral communication skills.

The Project Manager manages multiple projects and/or large, complex, higher cost projects as assigned and is responsible for the coordination of the project team, appropriate communications with the client, management and control of scope, cost, and schedule objectives for the project as a whole. The Project Manager will provide technical expertise on education and DSA related projects for a client in the higher education sector in San Diego. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Education: BS in Construction, CM, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field
Experience: 5+ years of experience Project Management, engineering, or construction management
2+ years of experience supporting Higher education and/or DSA experience required
Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED

The salary range for this full-time role is $115,100.00-$153,500.02 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
