      Houlihan Lokey’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team assists private equity and corporate clients by providing cohesive diligence across financial, tax, data analytics, cybersecurity, and technical accounting. Leveraging data-based insights, strong technical knowledge and industry experience, the TAS team supports clients in M&A, strategic transformations and capital markets endeavors.

      Drawing on Houlihan Lokey’s market leadership in middle-market M&A transactions, our deals experts provide candid, unbiased, and rigorous support on matters most impacting deal value, and assist investors in identifying and evaluating key value drivers and risk factors.

      Job Purpose:

      Our Transaction Advisory Services, Accounting and Financial Reporting (TAS AFR) practice is excitingly growing and looking to add a Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring proposed AFR project plans adhere to the timeline, budget, and scope. This role will be at the Vice President level. Duties for this Project Manager role include:

      • Create management communication plans and processes.
      • Define project responsibilities with stakeholders, including project milestone tracking.
      • Participate in how budget and staff are allocated for the project.
      • Maintain project time frames, budget estimates, and status reports.

      Our AFR advisory team works closely with clients through their strategic dealmaking financial reporting requirements. Our specialists have deep knowledge of deals, sectors, and technical accounting matters. This enables them to understand the challenges our clients face, including:

      • Analyzing complex accounting and reporting situations specific to transaction driven events.
      • Assessing deal structures and potential outcomes and crafting practical accounting-based solutions.
      • Harnessing data to determine the appropriate quantification and presentation of financial information.
      • Preparing financial statements and disclosures for buyside and sellside M&A deals, restructurings and capital raising pursuits.
      • Managing large-scale transaction projects and key stakeholders across the finance function.
      • Navigating SEC and other regulatory rules and communications.

      We team closely with our corporate finance and restructuring colleagues across all our industry platforms, on a variety of projects and accounts.

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution with a focus in Accounting, Business, Finance, or other business related field
      • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical accounting and/or project management focused role
      • Experience operating in a project engagement role as part of a Project Management Office or deals based client service role.

      Preferred Qualifications and Experiences:

      • CPA license preferred. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
      • Highly motivated with an exceptional work ethic, and a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionals.
      • Demonstrated professional achievement and client service excellence.
      • Coordinate project schedules, tasks, and manage progress to ensure on-time, quality delivery of business deliverables.
      • Exceptional organization skills, including attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
      • Demonstrates thorough prior experience to deliver project management advice to HL team members and our clients in connection with various types of transaction driven projects.
      • Knowledge of best practices in project management methodologies, procedures, communication frameworks and specific project management and data visualization tools including (but not limited to): Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
      • Ability to develop and manage project plans, governance structures and status reporting and effectively communicate status and issues to C-Suite level executives and internal stakeholders to facilitate flawless execution of the project.
      • Proven ability to manage several stakeholders (internal and external) and several projects while demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective problem solving abilities.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with dynamic priorities and deadlines.
      • Strong current knowledge of transaction related issues.
      • Strong analytical abilities.
      • Ability and desired willingness to travel on occasion.

      Salary Range

      Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:

      $145,000.00-$180,000.00

      Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.
