      Project Officer

      • Full Time (35hpw) Ongoing
      • Salary starting from $110,266 + super
      • Location flexible across Parramatta, Maitland, Lithgow, Gosford and Wollongong with hybrid working.
      • Regular office attendance required (3 days a week) and ad-hoc travel

      The Business Projects team, within the Optimisation and Project Delivery division of Fines and Debt, helps drive change and better outcomes for Revenue NSW and its customers. The team is currently working on many diverse projects. Recently, it delivered the seat belt camera detection program with Transport for NSW.

      The project officer role will support the delivery of key transformation project(s), which brings opportunity for innovation and progressive thinking to make things better for NSW Fines and Debt customers.

      Key responsibilities:

      • Supporting the implementation of all aspects of project development to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line best practice project management principles
      • Strong stakeholder management – forming strong, collaborative relationships with business partners, professional stakeholders, third-party vendors and other team members
      • Preparing and supporting steering committee and governance structures, including project working groups, and governance reporting and financial management
      • Support research and recommendations from data and customer insights to support evidence-based project planning and decision making

      To be successful in this role you will need:

      • Experience with all aspects of project management from start to end across complex projects, including project plans, and meeting reporting requirements, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and in line best practice project management principles
      • An understanding of human centred design (HCD) and how this can apply to complex problems
      • The ability to ask the right questions and think strategically to break down complex information to inform decision making
      • The ability to communicate effectively and confidently and find best way to present often complex/technical information in easy-to-understand language
      • Experience in implementing high profile and complex business projects with cross-functional stakeholders
      • The ability to perform under pressure or in the face of uncertainty

      Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at 110,266 base plus superannuation
