      Job Description:

      Position: Project Officer GIZ funded project)

      Objective:

      World Vision Bosnia & Herzegovina (WV BiH) will engage Project Officer in reception centers and local host communities on project activities that aims at:

      • Improving the Work and Life Skills of People on the Move and population of the Host communities through developing individual capacities of people on the move and the local population through trainings for life skills, educational, vocational (employment related) activities and

      • Strengthening the exchange and dialogue formats to promote social and cultural participation through joint events in local communities, thus contributing to strengthened resilience of people on the move as well as people in local communities while creating inclusive environment in host communities.

      Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for planning, preparation and facilitation of activities and events in reception centers and local host communities.

      • Develops and modifies activity plan and preparing relevant inputs for project reports

      • Documenting the progress of project activities (to keep track of the number of persons participated in activities, maintaining attendance lists, providing information on status of activities)

      • Communicate and interact with beneficiaries, reception centers’ staff, team members, project partners, and/or others as assigned to ensure appropriate and positive learning and working relationships necessary to enhance overall project.

      • Establishing collaborative relationships with other stakeholders, operating in reception centers

      • Working collaboratively with WV BiH Emergency Response staff and participate in weekly and other staff meetings

      • Ensuring quality project implementation with due respect to donor requirements and WVI regulations and standards.

      • Engagement with community stakeholders (children, adults and partners) to ensure effective implementation of all project activities.

      • Maintaining the quality of existing and developing new partnerships with local NGOs, local government, officials, local religious representatives and community leaders;

      Requirements:

      • Experience in conducting different workshops/activities for diverse groups, especially for refugees and migrants

      • Prior knowledge in conducting artistic, sports and educational workshops and events is considered as an advantage

      • Knowledge of protection issues and protection models, especially in emergencies, preferred

      • Prior experience in working cross culturally preferred

      • Relevant working experience in reception centers is considered as an asset
