- Analyze and manage incoming demand, related priorities, and business case justification to make informed decisions on the overall portfolio
- Manages governance around intake processes, demand sizing, steering/business approval and prioritization.
- Works with key business partners, technical teams, internal solution architects, etc., to identify the scope of work and size/effort to create a high-level business scope which identifies teams and activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Report and analyze Business roadmaps and project portfolios against project intake requests evaluating remaining budget and capacity constraints
- Assist in resource capacity needs and changes in the overall portfolio
- Utilizes WR SharePoint form, Azure Dev Ops, and Power BI for data management and reporting.
- Collaborate with PMO and internal teams to complete project onboarding activities. i.e., business and IT approval for project work, core resource staffing and hand-off to project management
- Bachelor’s degree, or 1-3 years Project Portfolio Analyst experience or similar role
- Interaction with cross-functional departments within the company, collaboration across other technology portfolios, and excellent communication and relationship management skills to influence and resolve issues.
- Assist with the preparation, review and consolidation of IT budgets and forecasts, with tight tracking and management over project budget-to-actual-to-forecast
- Attentive to detail with focus on accurate and timely results, but with keen sense of the big picture.
- Must have good listening, verbal, and written communications skills with the ability to translate information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences.
- Organized and able to prioritize tasks, responding effectively to competing needs.
- Attentive and reactive to customer needs and concerns.
- Able to contribute to team effort and individual achievement.
- Novice in Microsoft OfficePreferred:
- Project Management Certifications a plus
- Agile Scrum experience desired
- Excellent soft skills (e.g., adaptability, emotional intelligence, perseverance, active listening)
Overview
Summary: The IT Project Portfolio Analyst reports to the Director of Portfolio Management, GTO and will lead and drive the Portfolio Management Lifecycle (demand intake to closed work to value realization) for IT requested work from their assigned business unit(s). They will partner with both business and IT leadership to proactively monitor project and portfolio data using multiple Microsoft tools to support governance, resource management, time management and reporting with compliance to Portfolio Process standards.
