- Be accountable for Emerson Isolation Valve's success in securing both Greenfield and Brownfield projects in the Western Region.
- Development of winning strategies and managing project opportunities from pre-feed through to tender award, taking full accountability with the customer throughout the project tendering stage.
- Collaborating with other regional Project Sales Managers to ensure group success
- Collaborate with various sales, customer care, and operational groups to ensure alignment between pursuit strategy and organizational goals.
- Proactively seek continuous improvement opportunities and work between sales and operations to help increase mutual value to Emerson and our clients
- Collaborate with the regional sales team to identify brownfield projects of significance and develop/manage strategies to ensure Emerson's success
- Manage and maintain accountability for the project pipeline and maintain accurate data in CRM.
- Participate in review cadence and forecasting processes
- Participate in the Isolation Valves ANZ leadership team, help shape strategy, and own growth initiatives across Emerson Isolation Valves and more broadly Emerson Automation Solutions.
- Develop competence in Emerson EHS Guidelines.
- Act as a leader and champion for Emerson's Safety Program
- As a champion for S&D, participate with colleagues across Automation Solutions in our ‘Greening of’ ‘Greening by’ and ‘Greening with’ Emerson program to help make the world Healthier, Safer & more Sustainable.
- Tertiary Qualifications in either Business, Marketing, Engineering, or similar, or comparable trade/industry experience
- Knowledge/experience in Valve, Control, or Instrumentation products
- Strong knowledge/experience in M&M and Process Industry
- Sales experience in capital projects and a strong understanding of project lifecycle and relationships between End Users, EPCMs and contractors.
- Strong business acumen

By taking on the Project Pursuit Manager role for the Western Australia Region, you will be responsible to further increase Emerson’s Isolation Valves' success in various projects by building strong networks among End Users, EPCMs, and Contractors.
The Project Pursuit Manager will have the ability to develop, manage, and execute strategies that deliver mutually beneficial value to Emerson and our Clients. Critical to the role of the Projects Pursuit Manager is the ability to communicate effectively and work between our clients and Emerson bid management, engineering, and strategic business units to ensure successful outcomes. The position is critical to the growth of Sales and Installed Base within the West Australia region.
The successful applicant will have strong business development skills, have experience in working with End Users, EPCMs and Contractors on major capital works projects, and possess in depth understanding of the project development and procurement process. Ideally with a background in Valves, Instrumentation or Controls the applicant will have the ability to proactively monitor and manage a strong funnel of complex projects simultaneously. In parallel the applicant will need the ability to effectively communicate internally amongst the sales and operations departments of the Isolation Valve business whilst maintaining accountability for forecasting and results.
Reporting to the Isolation Valves ANZ Sales Director, this role forms part of the Sales Leadership team in Australia / New Zealand and will be pivotal in helping shape the direction of our organization.
