- Inform schools and district personnel of housing status

- Assist parents with positive parenting approaches (as needed) and other family needs, e.g. resources
- Liaison between parents and families, if needed, and will inform involved providers with updates on any identified parent/child needs
- Assist with field trips and other summer programming and year-round special projects
- Will assist with other child and family development initiative and needs on an as needed basis
- Will follow Project RISE guidelines and directives as provided
- Will participate in Professional Development as needed
- Will provide records and other documentation, including any assessments or other inventories
- Input Data into eschool and student excel documents
- Responsible to work cooperatively and effectively with members of the public, other employees, related public agency staff, community businesses and service providers; responsible for accurate and timely recordkeeping and reports as required
- may be responsible to drive a motor vehicle with a valid Ohio operator's license as required by the position and may be required to travel, both within the school district and outside of the school district
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Education, Social Work or related field
- Two (2) to Five (5) years’ experience working with McKinney Vento procedures & projects
- Knowledge of McKinney Vento Mandates
- High degree of discretion and confidentiality
- Must be willing to work during non-business hours when required and travel throughout the District

Position: Project Rise Liaison
Job Code: 488
Reports to: Director of Student and Family Services
Employment Status: Regular/Full-time Time Schedule 422 (hours may vary week to week--up to 35 hours)
Salary: $42.60/hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Retirement Status: SERS
The Project Rise Liaison is responsible oversight and management of federal mandates required by the McKinney Vento Law: identifying families dealing with homelessness and removing barriers to education; training district staff in the federal mandates; and coordinating services within the district. This position will be identified as the Project Rise Liaison on all Ohio Department of Education communications and the McKinney Vento Sub-grantee communications.
