Has previous experience in Strategic Planning and Execution: Can develop, implement, and refine strategic plans aligned with organisational goals. Minimum 5 years’ experience required.
Has a thorough understanding of the philanthropic donor development process and practical application.
Can cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels in a complex organisation and act as a trusted advisor by understanding their existing and future needs. Must be highly personable.
Must be able to use data-driven insight to make informed decisions and pay attention to details and process orientation.
Can effectively communicate clearly through written and verbal channels. Must be able to deliver impactful presentation to diverse audiences.
Is highly pro-active with a strong growth mindset with the ability to prioritise based on strategic vision.
Can adapt to changing priorities and dynamics and reprioritise tasks as needed.
Has Salesforce and/or CRM experience.

About the Opportunity: As a Project Specialist, Advancement Strategic Initiatives, you’ll collaborate closely with key stakeholders in The Advancement Portfolio (TAP) team including the senior leadership group and University wide academics. Your mission? To develop plans and implement complex, University-wide projects and effectively manage and report on project activities and deliverables.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
