The Project Specialist I is responsible for assisting the special education leadership team in developing, monitoring, and maintaining processes for the Special Education Department. The Project Specialist will assist with special projects, analyzing and interpreting data, reviewing, monitoring, and auditing budget and expenditure reports, and management system development activities. The Project Specialist will serve as a liaison between intermediate school district departments, local school district building/program administrators, vendors, and Michigan Department of Education.
AVAILABLE :
One (1) full-time position available; 37.5 hours per week; 52 weeks per year.
SALARY :
$20.44 - $26.18 per hour. Genesee Intermediate Educational Support Personnel Association (GIESPA)
BENEFITS:
Eligible for health, life, dental, vision, and disability insuarnce after one full day of employment. Employees shall be subject to the co-payment of health care costs in accordance with state law and the GIESPA agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education:Associate’s degree in business, office administration, finance, math, statics or other related field required. Documentation/demonstrated work experience may be considered as part of the Associate’s degree requirement. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:Minimum five years’ experience in a business setting required. Three years’ work experience required in the use of computer systems, word processing, database management, spreadsheet development or related technical area. Experience with EdPlan, Michigan Electronic Grant System (MEGS), Michigan Student Data System (MSDS), School-wide Information System (SWIS) programs desirable.
